Postal inspector Winters has infiltrated a criminal gang, and their big plan is about to go down. Winters is waiting in an alley when a postal employee throws $120,000 in bonds out a back window. He fabricates a story about being robbed and knocked unconscious to buy time to switch real bonds with phonies. The boss, Cruze, is not amused and gives Winters two hours to find the bonds and bring them back or be rubbed out.
