An inspector, Harry Roberts, for the Scotland Yard is summoned to Dark Falls, Wales, to investigate the murder of a man by a hayfork and a billhook. When another murder occurs, superstitious locals shift their focus to Harry's wife, Nesta (Audrey Dalton), believing she is a witch.
