An actress, Rose French, gets thrown out of a bar and nearly hit by a car, and is arrested. Frank Clyde runs a rehabilitation center for alcoholics and helped Rose in the past. Frank and her landlord, Annie Cushman, are surprised to learn she is going to La Mesa, California.
